Dr. Charity Anne Kurz, LPC-Associate

Supervised by Randel Duncan, M.A., LPC-S

Thank you for visiting my profile! I am passionate about mental health. I believe in the importance of coming alongside clients to better their mental and emotional health, which can positively impact behavior and relationships. I can work with children and adolescents with learning disabilities and ADHD, as well as help children and adolescents obtain healthy coping strategies, emotional regulation and social skills. I believe that we can work to help children and teens reach their fullest potential. I also have training in career counseling for adolescents and young adults who desire to discover their potential.
Before entering the counseling profession, I served as a special education teacher in various settings. I work with kids, teens, and their families in schools and communities. I have been trained to navigate mental health concerns with kids and teens. I use experiential and expressive arts to help children and teens express feelings and tell their story.
Life can be difficult, even for children and teens. Although I do not have a magic wand to wave and make things better, I can provide the support my clients need to create and manage change. I believe that each client has a story. My role is to help the client tell and create a more positive story.
Please note: Dr. Kurz is not in-network with insurance and accepts self-pay clients only.
