“We will never get divorced; we love each other too much.”
Reality: Divorce is a very common reality. How many people in your life do you know who have been divorced? I have never met a divorced couple who thought they would divorce when they got married.
“Our love is healthy, our marriage will naturally be healthy.”
Reality: Healthy marriages do not just happen by chance.
“We have a good combined income so money will never be a problem in our marriage.”
Reality: Finances are one of the top reasons couples file for divorce, regardless of income levels. While your hearts may be in tune, your financial philosophies may not be (saving, spending, planning, etc).
“You are going to try and talk us out of getting married.”
